Week 2 Discussion
Plagiarism is never in the students best interest for several reasons. For one,
plagiarism is illegal. The use of another persons work to complete your own is
never an acceptable thing to do. Students often make this mistake by using the
simple method of copying and pasting information from the internet or a book into
their own material and claim it as their own. Another reason that plagiarism is not in
the students best interest, is the fact that it is prohibited on every campus. The
mistake of plagiarism can often be made very simple. Students misunderstand that
they must cite anything and everything. This can include the use of a picture,
artwork, script, book, or even sentence that is not their own. This mistake can get
them kicked out of a class or expelled from the campus. Plagiarism is never worth
the risk and should never be done under any circumstances. It is best to complete
your work honestly and correctly the first time so that your own thoughts are
exhibited.
