Author in this article has make following assumptions: Author has used Duncan's empirical finding method in this

article. As per
author, he has chosen this instrument because It was simple and seemed to
distill structural concepts from many other instruments.
Now, as per our understanding this assumption is valid because by this, he is
trying to overcome statement made by Schoonhoven regarding the lack of
mathematical deficiency in this model. By this method, he has tried to prove
his hypothesis quantatively.
Author has used the measure of fit in this article with matches with the
definition provided by Schoonhoven and with general congruency model. As
per author, this measure is very simple and easy to apply. Here, this model
assumes that for each value of a technology variable there is a best value of
structure in terms of high performance.
Here, Author has explicitly mentioned this assumption. It is valid in this
article because this measure should only be used when two variables are
highly correlated and here, technology and structure is highly correlated and
this measure also ensures that the reliability of the model on the whole. So,
the output that we are getting by this does not possess any thread to this
article.
