Minutes of the Regular Meeting

February 16, 2015

The regular meeting was called to order by Rodman at 6:00 p.m. at the East Sac County
Elementary School Sac City. Present were Rodman, Wilhelm, Drost, and Lynch. Stoltenberg
was absent. Also in attendance were Supt. Kruthoff, Principal Litterer, Principal Fischer, 8 staff
members, and 9 visitors.
Rodman read the mission statement to open the meeting.
Drost moved to approve the agenda as published, Lynch seconded; motion carried 4-0.
The consent items were reviewed and discussed. Lynch moved to approve the bill to Albrecht
Oil for $653.40, Wilhelm seconded; motion carried 3-0, Drost abstained. Wilhelm moved to
approve the consent items including Minutes of the January 19 Regular Meeting, Minutes of the
January 29 Special Meetings, financial statements, and bills on account of $174,139.11, Drost
seconded; motion carried 4-0.
Supt. Kruthoff and Principal Fischer reported that transitional kindergarten is eligible for State
funding, we will offer transitional kindergarten again next year.
Supt. Kruthoff reported that we will have school on March 2 and March 23 as snow make up
days. Currently, all make up days will be completed prior to the seniors last regularly scheduled
school day.
The Board and visitors discussed our wrestling program. The discussion was centered around
what we can do to encourage more participation in the program.
Board Policy 507.1 Student Health and Immunization Certificates was presented for review
and approval. The terminology licensed physician was updated to licensed health care
professional. Wilhelm moved to approve the policy as presented, Drost seconded; motion
carried 4-0.
The Board reviewed information regarding the 2015-16 proposed budget. This will be a future
agenda item.
A resignation from Amanda Loucks as HS English Teacher/Speech Coach effective 2/13/15 was
presented to the Board. Wilhelm moved to approve the resignation as submitted, Lynch
seconded; motion carried 4-0.

A resignation from Erin Goddard as HS Math Teacher effective at the end of the school year was
presented to the Board. Wilhelm moved to approve the resignation as submitted, Drost
seconded; motion carried 4-0.
The next regular meeting has been scheduled for 3/16/15 at 6:00 p.m. in the East Sac County
High School Lake View.
Wilhelm moved to adjourn, Drost seconded; motion carried 4-0. Meeting adjourned at 7:18.
