    ThefirstpointIwouldliketomakeisthattherearemanyjobsteenagerscando
    whichgavethemusefulexperienceoftheworkingworld.Theyarebroughtintocontactwith
    avarietyofpeople,oftenolder,andaregivenexperienceofexpressingthemselvesclearly
    andcoherently.Iamthinkinghereofjobssuchastravelguidesandshopassistants.
    Another argument for schoolchildren and college students having holiday or
    weekendjobsisthatmanyparentsneedthefinantialassistance.Ifwetake,forexample,a
    familyinwhichthefatherisunemployedorperhapsasingleparentfamilyonalowincome,
    itseemslogicalandfairthatasonordaughtershouldtrytobringmoneyintothehousehold.
    OnefutherthingIwanttosayisthatalotofjobsfottheyoungcanbefunforthe
    peoplewho dothem andalsouseful tothe community. Youngsters who helpinschools,
    hospitalsandwiththeelderlyoftenderiveagreatdealofpleasureanssatisfactionaswellas
    contributingsomethingvaluabletolocalsociety.
    Inconclusion,IwouldaddthatwhenIwasagirl,myfathersaidmyteenswerea
    timeforbooks,hobbiesandacademicstudies.Thinkingback,IfeelIwouldhavelearntmuch
    moreaboutmyself,otherpeopleandlifeingeneralifhehadallowedmetodoalimited
    amountofrealwork.Certainly,whensheisoldenough,Ishallencouragemyowndaughter
    todoso,ratherthanwastehertimewithsoapoperas,computergamesanddiscotheques,like
    somanypeopletoday.
