Amendment in different Notifications.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8
of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby directs that each of the notifications of
the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of
the Table hereto annexed, shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in
column (3) of the said Table.

In the Table annexed to the said notification, against

S. No. 1, in column (4), for the existing entry, the
entry Nil shall be substituted.
In the Table annexed to the said notification, against
S. No. 2, in column (4), for the existing entry, Rs.
1300/- per metric tonne, the entry Rs. 2600/- per
metric tonne shall be substituted;
In the Table annexed to the said notification, against
S. No. 4, (1) in column (3), for the existing entry,
the entry Wrought bars and rods (including wire
rods) of brass. shall be substituted; (2) in column
(4), for the existing entry, the entry Rs. 3,000/- per
metric tonne. shall be substituted.
