Fix For The "Adobe Flash Player" (Browser Add-On) in Desktop "Internet Explorer 10" in "Windows 8" or "Internet Explorer 9" in "Windows 7"
SUMMARY
If you are running the desktop
version of "Internet Explorer 10" in
"Windows 8.." or "Internet Explorer
9" in "Windows 7" and flash videos
do not play in some or all of Web
sites such as http://youtube.com
and/or http://cnn.com/video, you can
usually fix the problem by turning off
"Enable hardware acceleration".

PROBLEM
Sometimes an online Flash video
player in Desktop "Internet Explorer
10" in "Windows 8.." or "Internet
Explorer 9" in "Windows 7" has a
moving status bar but no video is
shown:
o Step 1:
Use the RIGHT mouse button to
perform a right click on the any
video shown as a player on any
Web site that has streaming Flash
videos:
o Step 2:
A pop-up context menu will be
displayed.
o Step 3:
Click on Settings in the popup context menu

o Step 4:
An "Adobe Flash Player
Settings" box will be displayed.

o Step 5:
If "Enable hardware acceleration"
is not shown, click on the left-most
tab to highlight it. (It is the tab with
an image of a flatscreen computer
monitor.)

o Step 6:
Remove the checkmark from Use
hardware acceleration in the
Adobe Flash Player Settings box:

o Step 7:
Click on the Close button of
the Adobe Flash Player
Settings box:

o Step 8:
Click on the "Refresh" button of
the "Internet Explorer" window:

o Step 9:
With "Enable hardware
acceleration" turned off, Flash
videos will now start playing:
