BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Before planning a lesson, we must explore the physical setting of the classroom, students characteristics,
content and material required for teaching a lesson. Lets explore what background information we require for
planning a lesson? From where can we obtain it? and How can we use that information to guide our teaching?
KNOW YOUR CLASSROOMS PHYSICAL SETTING

Recall the setting of the classroom, where you were teaching/ studying and discuss the classroom setting
with each other. Select one classroom from your group discussion and draw a sketch of the classroom

classroom furniture; chalk/marker box, etc.)

setting.
