Objectives
The discussion on Schizophrenia aims to:
1. define schizophrenia
2. differentiate clinical schizophrenia from drug-induced
schizophrenia
3. trace the cause of drug-induced schizophrenia
4. describe and demonstrate ways on how to successfully deal/mingle
with persons with drug-induced schizophrenia

Motivation
Does anybody know the song UNWELL by Matchboz 20? Can anybody
sing it in front? (Write the lyrics on the board.)
Q: What is your interpretation of the song? What is it about? Why do you
say so?

III.

APK (Activation of Prior Knowledge)


Introduce the topic.
Q: Have you ever encountered the word, SCHIZOPHRENIA before? What is
your understanding/idea of this term? How would you describe someone
with schizophrenia?
Write their ideas on the board.

Ask 1 or 2 residents to share his/their answers. Let other residents give


feedbacks on their answers. Integrate the rules and unwritten
philosophies of the MTRC.

Evaluation
Go back to the APK. Correct misunderstandings and misconceptions. Wrap
up.
