DAYBOOK 1
The type of writer I am is one that shares on personal
experiences, along with facts about the specific topic. While I write, I
attempt to think about past events in my life or the lives of others.
Drawing connections with the audience is significant to me; therefore,
each time I write, I consider how the readers may respond. I hope to
grow in my knowledge and obtain greater skills as a writer by being
enrolled in this English course. Something else I desire to achieve in
this class is having the ability to plan well and easily state my position
of the argument.
Speaking of argument, I believe this word means standing firm
to one side, acknowledging that others will either agree or disagree.
From the syllabus, I learned about the expectations for the class. It also
showed insight into what will be discussed while taking English 112. I
am looking forward to learning how to effectively write argumentative
papers and defending my position. I am also excited to get to know my
classmates and work alongside them on group activities.
