Section 66A of the amended Information Technology Act

Indias laws on freedom of expression online specifically Section 66A need to be brought in line with the reasonable restrictions on free speech contained in our own Constitution.
better public education of users as to what constitutes illegal online behaviour is
necessary. the notion that there is a trade-off between security and freedom must be put to rest. But there needs to be adequate oversight in place in the form of independent regulators, Parliament, the media, and the courts. India has been remarkably weak in terms of digital innovation.
