Functions of verb:
Main & auxiliary verbs

Main Verb:
A main (lexical) verb can stand
on its own without depending
on another verb.
e.g. go, remain, taste, turn

Auxiliary Verb:
An auxiliary (helping) verb
cannot stand on and it
depends on another verb.
e.g. must, will, ought to, would,
shall
