Patrick Rhatigan Has An Interesting

Professional Profile
Patrick Rhatigan is the Commander, 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air
Force Base, Arkansas. He also served as a Chief in Mobility
Programs Integrations Branch at the Headquarters Air Force, AF/A8
Plans and Programs in Pentagon. Here, he integrated 7 major
Commands inputs into united mobility and special operations forces
program. He also developed and recommended AF positions on force
structure, fiscal programming and flying for Senior AF leaders
building the Program Objective Memorandum and the Presidents
Budget.

Speechwriter to the Secretary

After that, in 2005, Patrick Rhatigan became the Speechwriter to


the Secretary of the Air Force at the office of the Secretary of the
Air Force in the Pentagon. Here, he prepared Secretary of the Air
Force speeches, remarks, manuscripts, for use in internal AF and
public arenas. He wrote congressional testimony and conducted
policy review of testimony and statements by senior AF leaders. He
eventually rose to be the Communications Team Chief for all four
principlesthe SECAF, CSAF, USECAF, and VCSAF

Patrick Rhatigan Became the


Commander
In March 2008, Patrick Rhatigan became the Commander of 93rd
Air refueling Squadron where he Commanded a 100 member,
worldwide deployable, combat-ready KC-135 flying Squadron. He
was responsible for 29 aircrews, Flight records, aerospace
medicine, safety, standardization/evaluation, flight and ground
training, and up keeping of the squadrons facility.

Patrick Rhatigan Became the Military


Assistant
In June 2010, Patrick Rhatigan became the Military Assistant
to Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs at the
office of the Secretary of Defense. Here, he advised the
Assistant Secretary on national security matters and all
defense responsibilities to provide support to the Secretary of
Defense in his dealings with the White House, Cabinet
Members, Members of Congress, and the Department of
State.

Commander of 379th Expeditionary


Operations Group
Following that, Patrick Rhatigan served in the prestigious
position of Commander of 379th Expeditionary Operations
Group in 2012, where he commanded a diverse
expeditionary operations group providing airspace control,
inflight air refueling, aeromedical evacuation, combat
aerial delivery, operational support airlift, surveillance and
reconnaissance, intelligence,
and close air support
throughout US Central Commands area of responsibility.
