Planning For Technology-Infused Instruction

This project is adapted from page 63 of Teaching and Learning with Technology, 5 ed., by
Lever-Duffy and McDonald.
Research your state or districts content area goals for the grade level you plan to teach.
Select one unit of instruction mentioned in these content area goals. The unit of
instruction you select should span 3 to 4 weeks. Electronic forms can be found in
chapter three of your ebook or can be emailed to you by Kadene. In addition, each step
is explained in the Tech Tutor powerpoints available in your ebook, if you need additional
resources. For that unit:
1. Create a fully articulated Dynamic Instruction Design. (Explanation attached)
2. Create two sample lesson plans from that design. (Sample attached)
3. Create one sample action plan for one of the lesson plans in that design. (Sample
attached)
Review the complete D-P-A sample as an overview to this project to make sure that you
have included each step.
Now that you have completed planning for technology-infused instruction, design a new
page in your e-folio to include, but not be limited to:
1. Upload DID.
2. Upload 2 lesson plans.
3. Upload the one action plan.
Creatively display these items to demonstrate to anyone viewing your page the
importance of good planning in the teaching field. Remember, you can turn documents
into pictures by pressing the Alt + PrtScn key and then pasting it into the Paint program
found under Accessories in the Window menu.
Finally, complete the Planning Skills for Self Assessment to analyze you own planning
skills. List your skills and what you need to improve and how you plan to improve those
skills on your webpage. Great job! Email Kadene at kdrummer@stonechild.edu that you
have finished this project so she can review it and add your points to the gradesheet.
