How to Create a Hyperlink

A Hyperlink lets you embed direct links to websites or other documents.


Use it when you want to take your audience directly to another source.
1. Decide how you will use this tool. It could be a word document,
PowerPoint, or publisher. Decide if you want to link a website,
picture, or a word document.
2. To create a link to a website:
Select Insert
o Select Hyperlink
In the address bar, paste the web address. In the
Text to Display, type the words that you want to
display on your product. Select OK.
3. To create a link to another document:
Select Insert
o Select Hyperlink
In the center box, select the document you want to
link. In the Text to Display, type the words that you
want to display on your product. Select OK.
4. Always test your link to make sure you embedded it correctly.
