Fire Protection - Offices Employer's Office Block Refer to the attached sketch “Fire Safety — Employer's Office Block” for layout and locations of equipment & devices. Fire Detection Battery operated, optical smoke detectors with integral sounders shall be used in the corridors, installed at 6 meter spacing between detectors and additionally in the entrance lobby and server room. A single battery operated heat detector with integral sounder shall be installed in the kitchen. Fire Fighting At all entrance/exits to the office block, the following fire fighting equipment will be installed: = Fire Extinguisher, Dry Powder Type ABC, 5 Kg - Fire Extinguisher, CO2, 2 Kg - Fire Blanket The kitchen will be equipped with the following: - Fire Extinguisher, Dry Powder Type ABC, 5 Kg - Fire Blanket Muminated Exit Sign liluminated exit signs shall be installed above all entrance/exit doors. First Aid Kit The First Aid Kit will be located in the kitchen with an appropriate sign installed on the door. First Aid Kit First Aid Kits will be located in the kitchen and in the Safety Office with the appropriate sign installed on the doors. 2. Fire Protection - Site Guard Posts Refer to the attached sketch ‘Fire Safety — Site" for layout and locations of equipment & devices. Fire Fighting At each guard post the following fire fighting equipment will be installed - Fire Extinguisher, Dry Powder Type ABC, 5 Kg - Fire Blanket First Aid Kit A First Aid Kit will be located in each guard post with the appropriate ‘sign installed on the door. Telephone A telephone is available for communicating with the responsible person on-duty. Emergency / Evacuation Siren ‘An outdoor type siren shall be installed and used to signal an evacuation for all personnel in case of fire or other emergency. Electric Generators & Diesel Storage Refer to the attached sketch ‘Fire Safety — Site" for layout and locations of equipment & devices. ‘Smoking Prohibited Several signs will be installed to inform all personnel that smoking is prohibited in proximity of the generators and diesel storage area. Additional extinguishers shall be provided to be hand carried by all work crews performing hot works (welding, ete.) or where fire hazard exist on site.
