Borders and Shading

Borders and shading. Two tools that can help make the text more appealing, and
organized. Using both tools, you can group parts of the texts together, or the full
text to make it more professional.
Through these instructions, we will demonstrate how these simple tools can
affect your text, and make it better.
1. In the tab Paragraph find the borders icon then click the arrow to see the drop
menu

2. In the drop down menu you have several basic border options (No Border,
bottom border, left border, right border, all borders, inside border, inside
horizontal border, inside vertical border

There are multiple options of line design to enhance your borders.
You can customize the borders color.
You can choose how thick you want the line to appear.

5. In the page border tab the settings are similar to the borders tab. This tab is
designed to create a border for the whole page
6. In the shading tab you can add a shade of color to the text block (NOT THE
SAME AS HIGHLIGHTING. Look at figure 1).
