My name is Farooq Mazhar and I just graduated in Electrical engineering, in

electronics. It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to AIRMUN14 and

especially DISEC as I have the honor of being the committee director for DISEC this
time.
I started debating from Alevels and I have taken a part in quite a few MUNs
ranging from GIMUN,SMAMUN,PKMUN,BMUN,MUNPK,RMUN,PYLC,NIMUN,LUMUN and
have bagged awards in most of them.
Debating has been an essential for me throughout my time and therefore I have
had the opportunity to speak in different styles of declamation, extempore
,parliamentary and MUNs. However, I have always been inclined towards MUNs
because it not only gives way to productive discussion and debate but also gives a
platform to combine that in a resolution which is the stepping stone for public
policy; and because of MUNs I have had the opportunity to represent Pakistan as a
student Ambassador in JENSEYS 2.0 program on future policy organized by SAARC
Youth Association in JAPAN and been a part INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY
CONGRESS by NPO ( National Productivity Organization of Ministry of Industries) in
collaboration with APO, UNIDO & IMS).
