Using the lumber that is attached; you are to cut out the lengths that
you would need to build a 4 x 8 flat. The lumber is not drawn to the
correct lengths; therefore, you must use a ruler and determine how
much you would need. Every 1 = 1. (Do not make them into 1x4s
just leave them the width they are drawn.) You will need to color the
rails a red toned color (red, orange, pink, etc.) and the toggle a blue
toned color (blue, light blue, purple, etc.) The stiles may be left white.
Then you should cut out the corner blocks and keystones and attach
them properly. Use a pen or pencil to diagram the correct screw
pattern.
This project is worth two daily grades!
Important Information:
1. The supplies you will need are the glue sticks, scissors, a
ruler, map colors and the attached patterns.
a. Rails=red tones.
b. Toggle=blue tones. (Center your toggle!)
c. Stiles=white.
2. You may only use the glue sticks to attach your pieces.
No tape will be accepted. This means you will have to
extend some pieces of lumber or be creative and cut
attachments.
3. You only have two class periods (minus the two quizzes)
to complete the assignments.
4. There may be more pieces in the patterns than will be
necessary to assemble your flat.
5. You are not using 1x4s for this project!!! You are using
1x13/4.
6. Write your name and class period on the back of your flat.

7. BE SURE TO USE ALL THE INFORMATION FROM THE
