KATYS KLOSET
Maddie: We sent the Katys Kloset letters that we typed on the computer. Beni : We already got some
donations! Gev. Lansing: One donation will be delivered directly to Katy's Kloset by the family because they
had medical supplies including a hospital bed. This donation came from a connection the family had to
one of the recipients of the letters we sent. Ethan: We are now making posters and pictures using Pic
Collage to tell the school that were going to sell key chains to make money for Katys Kloset.

CURSIVE
Maddie: We learned z. It Is like half of a side of a heart. We cant wait to do capitals! Ethan: Weve finished
the lower case letters! We are so excited! Hanna: We started learning capitals on Wednesday. Yay!

MATH
Sarah Gev.Gleischman's group is almost done with the measurement unit. Joe: We are doing a lot about
time. Beni: Gev.Lansing's math group finished their first math book! Gev.Lansing: The kids are currently
working on an iPad app called Quiz Maker making quiz games on the topics we have covered so far this
year. We also hope to write a Kahoot game.

SCIENCE
Ethan: We did an experiment to see what food has fat in it and what doesnt. Some foods were very
surprising. Eli: We are cutting pieces out of the newspaper that show foods from each of the 5 food groups
and putting them in a little book.

HEBREW
Hanna: Gev. Bachar's group had a test on Monday and finished the puzzle on Tuesday. Maya: The puzzle is
missing two pieces. Gev. Bachar: We are talking (in Hebrew) about what we like to do with friends. Gev.
Grussgott: We have learned the pronouns for I, you, he, she, etc. We have also enjoyed learning to write
book reports.

JEWISH STUDIES
Ethan: We did a fun activity with the shinshinim. Beni: Now we're going back to Avram Journals on
the iPads. Gev. Altman-Shafer: We thought of 100 facts about Judaism for 100th Day, and the students
voted to use them for an end of the year game.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Beni: We started a game called broomball. Hanna: We are now playing soft hockey! Yay!

COMPUTERS
Beni: We finished our MLK books! They are now hanging in the hall with our MLK writing that we did in class.
Gev. Lansing: To have some fun on 100th Day, we challenged the kids to write a 100-word story. They will be
up in the hall next week! Please stop up and see how creative they can be with only 100 words.

ART
Beni: We painted pictures of a happy memory earlier in the year, and now we're writing stories about them
on Google Docs. Hanna: We finished our match boxes for our little books. Gev. Lansing: Please plan on
joining us at the Art Fair on March 30 to see all the amazing projects our school has created this year
including these pictures and match box book containers.

LIBRARY
Gev. Lansing: We started listening to a story by Dori Weinstein. She will be coming to our school next week
to share her new book with us and to talk about what it's like to be an author.
