Environment for learning: It is always my goal to provide friendly class environment to the students. | want students to understand the material, partcipate in discussion, and improve as professionals and at the same time find the class enjoyable. | always tell that if they like my course, they should tell others and if they don't, they should tell me. 2. Training students. | am a strong believer of training students, especially at undergraduate level. | do not boliove that most students are self-motivated; therefore, | will assign works to complete on a regular basis. To establish a good rapport with my students, | encourage sludents to ask me questions. | urge students to realize that if they have a question; chances are high that others have the same or similar questions, 4, Mutual respect: My previous student evaluation indicates that | treat my students with proper respect. My students are also reminded that they should be respectful to me and to their fellow classmate, 5. Knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject. | work hard to maintain a lively environment in the classroom. To encourage class discussion, | allocate points for class room participation (.e., 5%) in grading scheme, 6. Realistic expectation and fairness in evaluation. | strive to evaluate my students fairly, while maintaining extensive academic rigor in a flexible learning environment. 7. Pedagogy: | strongly insist that students follow a simple “Given — Find - Solution” format on solving their problems, 8. Educational philosophy: | believe students should be treated as professionals, not as business customers. In the business environment, clients should be always right. In college, students come to learn what is right. Study Aids Instructor's Office Hour. During the specified office nours, you can drop by my office for any questions regarding the subjects discussed in the class without making an appointment. The most effective way to catch me for your questions is to see me on person or call for an appointment or send me an e-mail to make an appointment. Itis not a good idea to pile up questions and expect me to answer them the day before an Reading. Read the text to be discussed prior to the scheduled class and review the subject thoroughly after the class. Read the textbook carefully. Work on all examples given in the text and solve as many unassigned problems as you can, Establish a good studying habit and you will do very well in the class.
