Target Audience question 4

My magazine is mostly aimed at men as i feel the Mod genre is

something that is very male based and quite butch, i thought this from the
colour scheme the colours used were quite dark red, blue and green,
these were all factors that i took into account that gave me the decision
for the magazine to be male targeted, i feel that with this magazine there
may be a minor selection of female audience that would be open to this
magazine because of there interests in the sort of music and artists
involved in the magazine so i would say even though my magazine would
be dominated by its male audience there would still be space for a female
audience to get involved if the genre was something that they are
especially interested in, i think i did equally share the theme so it did suit
both male and female as i included both dark and light colours like light
blue, white and also yellow which helped equally split the division
between the two genders because i believe it is important to respect both
sides of your target audience in order to help keep them happy. The age
game i decided on would be anyone from late teens all the way up to
people the age of 60+ as the magazine genre i chose is something that
really can fit a whole range of different people (both gender and also most
ages that i stated above) the final factor i took into consideration was
social class, i had to think hard about this as i wanted to find a social
class/group which was easy to target but also make it so they enjoyed the
genre, i did mention about doing it for lower and middle class so that
everyone could afford to buy the magazine but maybe releasing it not so
often so that people of the lower social group would have time to save and
be able to afford the magazine, so overall i think i would have to target
the magazine at both men and women from late teens all the way up to
older ages(60+) and also aimed at lower and middle class to help make
the magazine affordable for all types of social groups.

try and attract the audience for my
magazine, i kept well to the house style as i
knew it would attract my readers and
automatically grab the attention of the
readers if they saw my magazine in a shop.

This is my price which relates to my

social class as i thought i would try
and keep the price low to make it
affordable for all of my target
audience, i decided to release the
magazine every 2-4 weeks which
means the buyers would have time
to save up for it if they couldnt

I used a variety of colours

that fitted my house style to
try and fit a wide variety of
my audience for instance in
the mod target i used the
colour red to attract the
more female side of the
audience, i think by doing
this it would help attract
more people to buy the
magazine and overall make
it a lot more successful for
