ANALYSIS OF FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH ANXIETY LEVEL IN PATIENTS Morbus


HANSEN POLYCLINIC SKIN AND SEX

One of the neglected and endemic disease is most prevalent in tropical countries is Morbus
Hansen. The existence of this disease threatens millions of poor people in particular as a
result of poor environmental conditions and low socioeconomic status. Covering various
aspects of the impact of physical, psychological, social, cultural, economic, security, and
resilience. Psychological aspects in question is the emergence of anxiety sufferers Morbus
Hansen.
This study aims to examine some of the factors associated with the level of anxiety in patients
with Morbus Hansen Dermatology Clinic Hospital Dr. Soetomo.
Descriptive research design using design - analytic cross-sectional design. The population is
all patients who underwent treatment Hnasen Morbus at Polyclinic Hospital Dermatology
Dr.Soetomo Surabaya total sample was 128 respondents, taken based on criteria inklus. The
independent variables were age, gender, education, socio-economic, physical condition,
environment and situation, personality types, and potential stressors. The dependent variable
is the level of anxiety. Data was collected using a questionnaire restructuring in the form of
instruments anxiety of Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale. Data were analyzed using ordinal
regression test with a significant level of 0.05.
The results showed that the personality type of the patient Morbus Hansen has a relationship
with the anxiety level of patients (p =), and the level of education of the patient Morbus
Hansen has a relationship with the anxiety level of patients (p =).
it can be concluded that the type of personality as well as patient education have a
relationship with the level of anxiety sufferers Morbus Hansen but age, sex, socio-economic,
physical, environmental and situations as well as potential stressors have no relationship with
the level of anxiety sufferers Morbus Hansen. The next study should be able to see the other
factors that also relate to the level of anxiety sufferers and can use the measurement tool for
obtaining better results more accurate.
