1) English to serbian translation

In Serbian there are two equivalents:
-Imati pune ruke posla. Meaning,to have your hands full of work,and the
second:
-Imati posla preko glave. To have work over your head.
To take the bull by the horns.
-Lupiti akom o sto. To hit the desk with your palm.
To hold ones tongue.
-Drati jezik za zubima. It is the same as in english.
To be up with the lark.
-Ustati sa petlovima. To wake up with the roosters.

To go to great lenghts.
To buckle down.
To involve blood,sweat and tears.

Someone who has enough money to lead a very

comfortable life.
To live in clover.
To live the life of Riley.
To live high of the hog.

Why is eight afraid of seven? Because seven eight nine.
Seven ( ate ) nine.
The translation is not possible. Because in serbian eight is spelt as
osam,and the past tense form of the verb to eat as pojeo/la.

Why did the boy throw the clock out the window?..To see if time
really flies.
The translation in serbian has very much the same meaning,and it sounds
like this: Zato je deak bacio sat kroz prozor? Da vidi da li vreme stvarno leti.
Why there are no ants in the church ?
Because they're insectsIN-SECTS.
In this joke a translation is not really possible,because the plural form of the
noun inscects in serbian is insekti, and the phrase in-sects,would be
translated u sektama. So It wouldnt have any sense.
