It may seem to you that we have really stopped moving forward on this process. We have stalled a bit due to our inservice heing cancelled a couple of months ago. We were scheduled to present to the staff on an inservice day, but since we have not had inservice since, we haven't been able to share what has been set into motion for next year. Mike has scheduled us some time on the back to school days inthe fall to work our way through what is left ro do, Yot this year: ‘We will continue to use the PBIS practices that have been set in place in the hallway and lunchroom. ‘We willbe taking a survey sometime in May, watch for the email. ‘The PIS team will be getting together to decide what needs to be done before the end of the year. Continue to reward the positive behaviors that you are seeing each day, Remember the P in PBIS stands for POSITIVE! We're hearing lots of good things on the announcements, as far as classroom rewards are concerned! ‘Summer: ‘The PBIS team will probably have to get together atleast one day in order to get things ready to role out at the beginning of the year. Fall Inservice days: ‘We will go over the expectations for other common areas for students: playground, buses, bathroom, etc. Teachers will be setting up the classroom expectations for their rooms on the back to school inservice day. You vill be able to keep the rules and procedures that you already use, the format will just look a little diferent. ‘School in session: sof right now, it looks like on the frst full day back, the kids will be going through BRONCO Pride Academy to learn the expectations ofall of our common areas. Teachers will continue to do as they always do, and teach the expectations in their rooms. We will prabably have a kick off assembly as well Team members, look for an email next week as to our next meeting day. We have alot todo yet.
