Student

Leader of the Year

Center for Student Involvement
April 2014
I was nominated and received the Student Leader of the Year award at the
Spring Leadership Closing Ceremony hosted by the Center for Student
Involvement. I was one of 9 chosen out of 50 students to receive this honor.
Winning this award as a Junior at Kent State is truly remarkable.
In order to be nominated for this award one must be involved on campus and
hold various leadership roles. The Student Leader of the Year award enhances
my job marketability because employers can identify my leadership style and
how I work with others. It shows I have experience with larger roles and how to
be responsible when managing multiple activities.
