Plot
Expository

Rising action

Usman Khalid, the rich man has died. He had a


wife and four daughters.

The four son in-laws were hoping that they


would get an amount of wealth. Tajuddeen
was the most trusted son in-law whereas
Mahmud was best liked son in-law for his
entertaining character.

Climax

Mahmud seemed to know a secret about his


father in-law as he approached the chauffeurs
and offered twenty dollars to the one who tells
him first about a taxi from Tanjung Malim
arrives.

Falling action

Excluding Mahmud, the others did not have a


clue that the late Usman Khalid had a second
young wife and three little boys until an outstation taxi from Tanjung Malim arrived.

Resolution

Tajuddeens and the other two son in-laws hope


gone on to be willed a fortune.
