Disease

Disease is when a pathogen/bacteria/virus enters the body and infects the host
causing signs and symptoms to make the host sick and live of its body. Some
diseases in our society that are considered Preventable are obesity, diabetes, and
cervical cancer. Obesity runs in family, but in truth it depends on what you eat,
about 68.8% of adults in America a obese thats more than half of the Americans in
the United States. Diabetes runs in many families, about 35% of non-Hispanic
whites, 39% of non-Hispanic blacks and 38% of Hispanics are diagnosed with
diabetes. Cervical cancer is preventable but up to 93% of women who get cervical
cancer are preventable. Neither of these diseases listed have been prevalent. The
only thing that has changed in between these diseases is the obesity has increased
and so has diabetes but cervical cancer has been prevented. It is the same since
America takes number 1 on obesity thought the whole world; diabetes is
commonly passed throughout the family, and cervical cancer is passed on by HPV
(Human Papillomvirus) which one can only get through sexual reproduction.
Obesity and diabetes are diseases that involve eating healthy and exercise as a
daily part. Well in my moms side of the family diabetes is common in our family
so with one little too much we can end up with diabetes if we dont take care of
ourselves. By exercising, eating healthy and staying fit you can prevent obesity and
diabetes since those can end your life slowly.
