Managing Student Work

I believe that the students should

be given as much responsibility as
possible to become good
independent thinkers. To reach
this goal I will encourage the
students to complete their
homework assignments and other
school work activities.
The students will be given clear
expectations of how their work
should be for every subject and I
will make sure that they
understand how their work will
affect their grades. Due dates will
be given in a reasonable amount
of time that I think they can
handle.

Students will have a homework

folder that they will be required to
keep up with and turn into me at
the very beginning of each class.
Students who do not turn in their
folder will receive a 0 on their
homework for that day. I will
collect the homework out of the
folders, take the homework out
and return their folders to them
before the end of the day.
Students grades will only reflect
the quality of their work and they
will always know that if they feel
like their grade is not what it
should be then they can discuss
this with me at the beginning or
end of class.

A - 90-100
B - 80-89
C - 70-79
D - 60-69
F - 0-59

20 % - Homework
20% - Quizzes
30% - Tests
20% - Class Projects
10 % - Class participation
