CITY OF WEST BUECHEL, JEFFERSON, KENTUCKY The 2012 - 2013 Budget meeting convened, May 1, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. Mayor asked if Council Shouse would lead the Prayer and Council Sharp to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. -Clerk Gillock took the roll call: Council Mosely: present, Council Shouse: present, Council Sharp: present, Council Howard: present, Council Hardin: present, Council Clark: present. All present, Mayor stated she would not reread the budget proposal. Mayor asked if everyone received a copy of the budget proposal. Mayor read the budget message consisting of: Exhibits A, B,C,D and Capital Outlay. Mayor stated that the budget which was included in the council packet was incorrect. The corrected statement would be found on the podium. The Mayor quoted the corrected change to Administrative as being $ 601,983. Council Sharp suggested that instead of giving a blanket raise of 5% to all employees, he would like to make @ motion to give the public works 7.5% and the office personal 2.5%. Council Hardin seconded the motion. Mayor ask the Clerk to take a vote: Mosely: no, Council Shouse: no, Council Sharp: yes, Council Howard: no, Council Hardin: no, Council Clark: no. The annual raise for all employees remained 5% for this budget. Mayor asked if there was other discussion pertaining to the administrative. Mayor went over the appropriations on page (2). Mayor asked Council if there was further discussion of this budget. Mayor stated the Ad Valorem Ordinance No. 240 Series 2012, will remain at .20, and said we would have the second reading at the regular meeting coming up at 7:30 tonight. Mayor mentioned having received a call from Fountain Square concerning the wipe out they hadwith the cars, She said that Fountain Square wanted the city to put down speed bumps. After researching, Mayor said that Fountain Dr., does belong to West Buechel. Mayor spoke to them about moving fast, to have project completed by June 30", Council Hardin ask if we could use the small rolkover humps. Mayor said she really recommends those also.” Council Shouse made a motion to adjourn and Council Mosely 2 the motion.
