1. What challenges did rulers face as civilizations grew into Empires?
- They had problems trying to control their people, and struggled to
keep the people fed, and they had to make sure that people were
safe from kingdoms.
2. Why the RVC were mostly polytheistic?
- The RVC were peaceful so they had respected all the peoples
religions and all theyre ways.
3. Why did some empires have strict regulations and others did not?
Some did because, they felt as if an iron fist it would be more
sufficient and those would be the empires to conquer most territories,
and the more peaceful empires did this as farming and provided goods
for other countries.
4. Should societies base legal system values/processes on religious
concepts?
- No because if this was so, people would get up set on how the
rules may have been taken to a certain extent. For example, the

bible says that you are not supposed to disobey your mother and
father but, if the king or emperor decided if the rule was broken the
child should be executed, some strong religious folk may not mind
as others may be highly offended by this rule. This may cause an
uproar in the empire causing many problems therefore I think it
would just be better if the rules were not based on religious things.
5. What geographic factors influenced life/decisions in the RVCs?
- The geographic factor of the RVCs influenced many things for
example the crops they could grow, sugar cane is a crop that needs a
lot of water to grow compared to a tomato that would only grow in
humid climates so most RVCs would have to grow it in the
summer/spring time.
6. Should globalization be encouraged or restricted in the current era?
- I think in this current era, globalization should not be encouraged
because, the sharing of international traits, food, cultures, religions,
and other things is not efficient for the American lifestyle just
because of the simple fact that Americans barely know about the
history of their own country. Statistics show that when a magazine
called Newsweek had recently asked 1,000 U.S. citizens to take
Americas official citizenship test; 29 percent couldnt name the

vice president, Seventy-three percent couldnt correctly say why

we fought the Cold War, Forty-four percent were unable to define
the Bill of Rights, and 6 percent were unable to circle
Independence Day on a calendar. So if America fails to know their
own customs, history, and ways why should we learn about another
countrys?
