Day 1: :Larry earned $500 in July and twice as much in August. In September he spent
$150 of his savings on clothes. How much of his earnings did Larry have left after buying
the clothes?

Day 2: To prepare a solution of fertilizer, cup of concentrate is to be mixed with water


to make 4 quarts of solution. How much concentrate in cups is needed to make 14 quarts
of fertilizer solution?

Day 3: Valerie bought her daughter a game system and two game cartridges for her
birthday, all on sale. The game system, regularly $180, was 10% off and the game
cartridges regularly $40 each, were 20% off. What was the total price of the 3 items
Valerie bought? (Assume there is no sales tax)

Day 4: To make a set of potholders of various sizes to give as a gift, Tina needs the
following amounts of fabric for each set:
