Norfolk State University offers a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (INT studies) degree. The degree can prepare
students for advancement or promotion. Students may also seek careers/jobs in Federal, State and City Governments, Corporate
America or pursue graduate studies education. Courses are taught in classroom or web-enhanced formats. INT studies prepare
students to engage in critical analysis and to interact in the global marketplace.

Successful completion of ENG 299 Writing Exit Exam is required before graduating

Who Should Apply:


Military Applicants who possess work skills and training in
all military ratings and job functions.
Have your SMART/AART transcripts evaluated and
determine the value of your military training, A & C
schools, or specialized training.

DOD personnel and civilian applicants seeking a first


degree for job advancement or promotion. If you work for
the Federal, State, or City governments, INT Studies may
help you obtain your educational goals and objectives.

Military credits awarded for job skills, training (A & C schools), NECs or specialized schools

Up to 90 SMART, CLEP/DANTES and College Credits may be accepted


Degree Concentration Areas based on SMART transcript evaluation
Non-Matriculation Admission Prospective students may apply for admission to program as a non-degree student and
register for up to 15 credits (5 courses). A Non-Degree application should be submitted with a $35.00 non-refundable
application fee along with undergraduate transcripts.
Open to all active duty military, retired military, active duty reservists, military family members, DOD civilians and other
civilians
