The Robi e H ou se c r e at e s a clever arrangement of public and private spaces , slowly distancing itself from the street
in a series of horizontal planes . By cr eating overlaps of the planes with this gesture, it allowed for interior space expanded
towards the outdoors wh i le s t i ll g i ving the s p ace a level of enclosure . This p lay on private spaces was requested by the client, where he insisted
on t he ide a of s eeing his neighbors without being seen . Wr ight s p ecifically ap proached this request with an enormous cantilever
over the porch f a ci n g we s .
