You will need approximately 200 250 yards of

Worsted weight yarn; a size 5 and size 6 circular
needle 16, DPNs in the larger size and a cable
needle.
Gauge: 5 stitches =1 on size 6 --you want the
fabric to be denser.
K Knit
P Purl
P2TOG Purl next two stitches together (decrease)
K2TOG Knit next two stitches together (decrease)
C3B Slip 3 stitches to cable needle, hold in back, K3, then K3 from cable needle
YO Yarn over (increase)
SSK Slip 2 stitches, put the left needle through the front of slipped stitches and
knit together (decrease)
B Bobble (5 stitches) use this if you need help making the bobble

Unless otherwise indicated any stitches within parentheses should be repeated

across the entire row
Using a Worsted weight yarn & a size 5 needle; cast on 110 stitches. Being sure
you do not twist, join in the round and place stitch marker if using one.
Ribbing: Work in a P1, K1 Rib for 10 rounds. I suggest making this section
longer if you want a slouchier hat.
