Fort Collins, CO 80521 January 27, 2015 Steven Fassnacht Natural Resource 335 400 University Avenue Fort Collins, CO 80523 Dear Mr. Fassnacht, I am writing to apply to the Snow Hydrology internship that was mentioned in the System Theory Information Management class on Monday, January 26, 2015. I am very excited to apply for this internship and feel as though it will help me further my education by allowing me to gain valuable knowledge that cannot be learned in a classroom as well as help you work on your research project. My education in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability and Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism at Colorado State University as well as the job experience I have within the field of environmental science have helped equip me for the position as your intern. For example, I was an intern for the City of Folsom, California Parks and Recreation Department, there I learned how to work as team in a professional setting. I was able to lead on some projects which allowed me to develop my leadership skills and time management habits. As well as my education and prior work experience, I am also very motivated, hardworking and willing to push myself to get the job done. I am a quick learner and am always interested in learning new things that can help further my career and knowledge. I have included my resume for your use and would love to speak with you in person about the internship. Please let me know if you need any other information and I will be happy to provide you with it. Please feel free to contact me at (916)960-7058 or eaross@rams.colostate.edu. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely,
