Software I will use

I will use two main programmes which will enable me to make my magazine
these will be Adobe InDesign CS6 and Adobe Photoshop CS6.
Adobe InDesign
I have used this programme to produce my magazine, I used it for my
preliminary material, my draft piece and now my final product. through the use
of many different tools which In Design has I am able to construct my magazine
and edit it to make a professional looking magazine. For example I can instantly
change fonts and their colours through the use of the text tools. At the
beginning of this year I had never used this programme but as its fairly easy to
get to know I have learnt how to use it to a fairly high standard. Many high
profile magazines such as NME and Q use In design to help produce their
magazines which proves that it will help me get a good quality standard of
magazine.
Adobe Photoshop CS6
The programme has been used by me to help me edit my photos for my
magazine which will be included in my new magazine. Using this software I
have edited many different types of photos in many different ways. For
example I have photos which didnt really need much editing just minor things
such as a white or no background. Furthermore I have also used the spot
healing brush to help my actors look a lot more professional as they dont have
things such as spots. Also I have made some of my pictures into black and
white with one special object in the photo with colour to add more effect.

Camera and Lighting

Camera I used:
During my photoshoot for my magazine I used a Canon
550d camera with a 18.55 with a 3.5-5.6 zoom lens to help
me get the highest quality pictures which were essential
for me to making the best magazine I could. I have tried to
do this through the use of a high quality camera called a
SLC camera. This high quality camera takes the pictures
and they instantly save onto a memory card, which I then
insert to the computer drive and save all the photos to my
home drive which then allows me to view, edit and use the
photos for my magazine. The camera allowed me to zoom
in and out for different types of pictures such as close ups
and long shots which is essential in providing a range of
good photos.

Lighting

Lighting:
As the school has its own studio for a photo shoots I was
able to get high quality lighting and a good quality white
screen which was important in helping me take high
quality photos for my magazine. Having a good white
background made editing the photos a lot easier because
I didnt have to crop and delete certain things like I would
without one. The bright lights which were used are similar
to ones which a professional would use for a professional
photo shoot because I used a Neewer RT16 wireless flash
trigger and Interfit Stella and studio flash flights which
provided me with high quality and professional images
which I couldnt do without this equipment.
