The General Assembly

Syrian Arab Republic (Kira Ewing)

PALESTINIAN REFUGEES
The General Assembly:
Aware of claims of religious territory on the country of Israel by both Israelis and
Palestinians and the fighting that has been continued for decades,
Deeply concerned by the number of casualties on both sides, with at least 1,512
Israelis and 8,441 Palestinians killed between 1987 and 2014,
Having considered the possibility of the fighting increasing in the event of a
solution,
Keeping in mind that Palestine was never an official country, and that it was only
ever recognized as a territory if at all,
Observing Israels firm stance against the Palestinian right of return,
Recalling the estimated 1 million refugees in surrounding countries such as Syria,
Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and India,
