North Ave in Chicagos trendy neighborhood, Wicker Park. The name Esperanza comes from the Spanish language, translating to English as hope. Part owner Justine Jimenez explains, Hope for us is the expression of our commitment to health and sustainability, with love and inspiration of multiculturalism and the world around us. Esperanza is open for lunch, and dinner. The all-organic dishes offer a wide variety of options, including: tamales, tacos, empanadas, and flan. In addition, the bar features organic tequilas and mezcal. We are inspired by the food that we grew up on. Executive Chef, Diego Torress states. Instead of making food with chemicals, we make our food with passion. Menu favorites include quesadillas de camote, finished with caramelized onions, sweet potatoes, meat of choice, all wrapped in-house made tortillas.
