This guest lecture about: Rig Operations teach us about how to run a rig, how to

support a drilling operation and also make us become familiar with all the
equipment, tools, services and maintenances to the rig, so we know what driller do
in oilfield. Also, in the last decade, issues about safety and environmental are really
interesting to discussed.
So we try to learn and enhance our knowledge about how to drill safely and
environmentally friendly. We hope that this activity will open all the participants
mind about what the engineers do in the field, especially in Oil and Gas Production
Process, and also how to work safely in the high-risk drilling field.

The Speaker explained about rig operation and about how it works. The speaker
also explained about parts of drill equipment and the functions of it. After the
explanation session, the course continued with Q&A session. The session has
positive feedback from the participants. There were a quite large number of
questions from the participants and the speaker answered it in a very good way. So
the participants understand things that unclear before. The speaker continued with
explanation about safety in the field. It also get positive responses from the
participants. The course continued with another Q&A session until the end of the
course. The speaker also shared about his experience in the oil and gas industry
and what to do to get a job in oil and gas industry.
