March 12, 2015 Madison Township Trustees Deeply Saddened By the Loss of Madison Country Club MADISON TOWNSHIP The Clubhouse at Madison Country Club, was destroyed by a massive fire early Thursday morning March 12th. Twenty three area Fire Departments responded to the massive three alarm blaze at approximately 1:00 am Thursday morning. The Board of Madison Township Trustees, are greatly relieved that no one was injured in the blaze. The building was not occupied at the time of the fire. The Trustees shared their deep sorrow for the loss of this historical community landmark. We are deeply saddened by the loss of this beautiful building, but sincerely grateful that no one was hurt said Peter Wayman, Chairman of the Board of Madison Township Trustees, and of the Madison Fire District. My heart aches today at the loss of a Madison landmark, and for the impact upon the community. Madison Country Club been a place of social gathering for many families in the Madison Community since its founding in 1923 said Trustee Kenneth R. Gauntner, Jr. Township Trustee Max Anderson, Jr. stated We will reach out to the owners to see if we can offer any assistance to them during this sad time.
