a Swedish botanist, physician, and

zoologist.
He became president of Stockholm
Academy and in 1741 was made
professor of medicine in Upsala . The
following year he accepted the
professorship of botany .

Carl Von Linne was born near

Stenbrohult, in the province Smaland,
Sweden. He did a lot of traveling but
stayed within Germany, France, and
England.

When did he live?

Carl Von Linne was born on May 23rd,

1707.

He died January 10th, 1778 (age 70).

He is known as the father of modern

taxonomy, and is also considered one of
