I joined the cleanup crew as community work. We worked in Sidney, an hour outside Oneonta, after getting hit by a heavy rains after
hurricane Irene. As a part of the crew I helped clear out a local spot called Elks Lodge after being under six feet of water.

I interned at Croton Pediatrics. During this time I gained knowledge on how to conduct an effective interview. The experience taught me a lot
about developmental disorders and learning disabilities. The most important element I learned was how to talk to patients about bad news
yet still comfort them and inform them properly.
Hudson Valley Cardiology

I interned at Hudson Valley cardiology. There I got an in depth look at how the heart works and learned how to read ultrasound. I learned
how to relieve anxiety in patients as well. Prior to beginning this internship, I was taught the importance of HIPPA regulations.

This is a club I belong to at school. As a member of the club I participate in varies amounts of community work. The goal of the club is to help
students achieve a healthier lifestyle. As a member I have been a volunteer waitress and helped with the all healthy bake sale, and helped
organize the zumbathon, which is a giant zumba aerobics class.
