Rules on payment of provisional pension are contaifed in rule 10 of Railway Services (Pension) Rules,1993. The amount to be paid as provisional pension has been clarified vide Board’s letter No.F(E)Ill 78 PN1/11 dated 17.5.78 which inter-alia states that in such cases, 100% pension which is otherwise admissible to the railway servant should be authorized as provisional pension, as in cases of normal retirement. 2. It is reiterated that the instruction contained in Board's letter dated 17.5.78 that provisional pension will be equal'to 100% pension which is otherwise admissible to the railway servant still holdsgood. 4, Please acknowledge receipt.
