To whom it may concern:
I am pleased to offer this letter of recommendation in support of the character of Alarie Maras. She
was my coworker in the Rehabilitation Services department at the Thomas B. Finan Center from May
2014 - February 2015, where we served adults in an inpatient psychiatric facility.
In the area of Therapeutic Recreation, Alarie demonstrated astute observational skills, provided creative
treatment interventions for her patients and effectively collaborated with a variety of mental health
professionals. She consistently demonstrated compassion, excellent decision-making skills, a positive
attitude, and wonderful initiative. Many of our patients were motivated by her encouraging style.
At all times, I found Alarie to be dependable, conscientious, a quick-learner and a willing volunteer for a
variety of projects . She had assertive communication skills, was computer literate and managed her
time efficiently.
It is my great fortune to have known and worked with Alarie in our facility. I was sorry when she
decided to return to Minnesota. Although I miss her, I know that she will be an asset to your
