Analogies and stories aid understanding lend a personal, human view to your post and avoid over-commercialism or outright promotion. 5. Use an appropriate level of English. The key is to make sure you get your message across. Most of our readers will not have high levels of English. 6. Consider your audience and what they will be most interested in, but write from your passion! 7. Write helpful things, not just thoughtful things people want something they can take away and use, not just sit and think about. 8. Bring in a range of media photos, audio, video etc. will enrich your post and entice readers. 9. If you mention someone or use someones ideas or products, give them credit and link to their blog/website/book etc. 10. Ask questions! Leave ideas and debates unfinished this will encourage people to contribute. 11. Be prepared to respond to peoples comments as author, you are best placed to feed the discussion. 12. Dont be afraid to do something completely different. Get creative! Come up with games, challenges, activities anything to draw the reader in. 13. Go back and see if you can reduce it down without losing the message. Reduce. Reduce. Reduce.
