The Lazy Baby Bear

Once upon a time, there was a cute baby bear. He lived with his parents in the jungle. His
parents would find food for him.
Wait for us at home, said Mother Bear to her son.
Many bears lived in the jungle. They felt safe living there. No other animals would
disturb them.
Every day, Baby Bear would play happily while the other small bears look for food. Baby
Bear became lazy. He played and slept all day along.
Lets look for food together, said a small bear to Baby Bear.
My mother will bring home some food for me, said Baby Bear.
You shouldnt behave like this, said the small bear. We have to learn to find food
ourselves.
My parents will feed me, said Baby Bear. The other small bears were disappointed with
Baby Bear.
Another small bear said, You are very lazy. You will get into trouble when you want to
look for your own food one day.
Baby Bear ignored his friends. He continued playing as usual.
One day, Father Bear wanted to teach Baby Bear to find food at the river.

Baby Bear was upset. Usually Mother and you will feed me. Why do I have to find food
by myself now? asked Baby Bear.
You will grow up one day, said Father Bear. Mother and I are getting old. When we
die, you have to find your own food.
As long as you are alive, you have to find food for me, said Baby Bear.
Father Bear was disappointed. It was all his fault. For all this while, he never taught Baby
Bear how to search for food.
Both of them went to the river. Father Bear showed his son how to catch fish.
Look how easy I can catch a fish! You can do too, said Father Bear.
Yet, Baby Bear just watched and did not want to learn. Father Bear then gave the big fish
to him. Baby Bear started to eat it happily.
One day, Baby Bears parent came home late. Baby Bear felt so hungry. He wanted some
honey.
He wanted to ask his friends to look for honey together. However, they had already gone.
Baby Bear had to go alone.
Baby Bear went to deep into the jungle. He was excited when he saw a beehive on a tree.
The sweet smell of honey made him hungrier. Unfortunately, he did not know how to get the
honey.
Maybe I should shake the tree. When the beehive falls to the ground, I can taste the
honey! said Baby Bear.
Baby Bear quickly shook the tree. The bees inside the beehive were very angry at the
Baby Bear. Baby Bear ignore them.
I dont care if they sting me. They cant hurt me.
Baby Bear did not know that there were thousands of bees inside the beehive.

Suddenly, the bees flew towards Baby Bear. They wanted to sting him. Baby Bear
quickly jumped into the river.
It is so hard ti find food. I should have learnt from my father earlier! said Baby Bear
while crying to help.

Task 2
For this assignment, I chose a short story entitle The Lazy Baby Bear. This short story
tells about a cute bear a child but had a lazy nature.
