Removal
1. Remove:
Auxiliary drive belt.
Engine undershield.
Support engine: Remove upper engine mounting.
Crankshaft pulley.
Timing belt cover [1].
2. Turn crankshaft clockwise until timing marks aligned [2] , [3] & [4].
3. Slacken tensioner nut [5]. Move tensioner away from belt. Lightly tighten nut.
4. Remove timing belt.

Installation
Installation
1. Ensure timing marks aligned [2] , [3] & [4] .
NOTE: Auxiliary shaft mark must be positioned 34 from vertical to avoid engine damage [2] .
2. Fit timing belt.
3. Slacken tensioner nut.
4. Turn crankshaft two turns clockwise to TDC.
5. Tighten tensioner nut to 44 Nm [5] .
6. Ensure timing marks aligned [2] , [3] & [4] .
7. Attach tension gauge to belt at
. Tool No.A 95751. Tension gauge should indicate 0 kg.
8. Install components in reverse order of removal.
9. Tighten crankshaft pulley nut to 196 Nm.
