1. What is film piracy and how is it committed?


Piracy is when you illegally download copies of online music and movies.
It can be done by using a camcorder in early cinema screenings.
2. What is FACT? What does it stand for?
FACT stands for Federation Against Copyright Theft. They are a leading
trade organisation which protest and represent the interests of its
members intellectual property.
3. Who benefits from piracy?
It can help companies, especially in the pirated sector in the UK, as in
2002 they earned an excess of 8.5 billion. Many businesses increase
revenue in related or complimentary businesses, due to brand
awareness.
4. Who losses out due to piracy? Figures?
Piracy threatens over 1.5 million whose jobs rely on continued success
of movies. There has been an increase of 50% of uploads in the past
year, 2.8million were also listed.
