Dumbledore takes Harry from his aunts and uncles house and takes Harry with him to persuade Horace
Slughorn, former potions teacher, to come out of retirement. When Professor Slughorn agrees, Harry is sent
to the Burrow with his friends. When Harry, Ron, and Hermione go shopping for supplies at Diagon Alley
Harry, Hermione and Ron follow Malfoy to a shop called Borgin and Burkes. They overhear Malfoy asking
the store-owner something. At first the shop-owner is reluctant until Malfoy shows the owner an unknown
object. At school, Dumbledore makes his usual announcement but adds that the school is under extra
protection due to Voldemorts rising. In Harrys potion class, Harry receives a book that was previously
owned by the Half Blooded Prince ; With this book he excels in potion class. Dumbledore and Harry start to
have regular meetings, where they learn about Voldemorts past. As Harry learns more about Voldemorts
past, the knowledge kills parts of his soul. When Harry and Dumbledore come back from a lesson, they see
the dark mark, Voldemorts symbol, above one of the towers in Hogwarts. Dumbledore rushes and leaves
Harry. Malfoy reveals he is a Death eater, one of Voldemorts followers, and disarms Dumbledore. As Malfoy
is about to kill Dumbledore, Snape walks in and kills Dumbledore himself.Harry goes back to find Snape and
tries to avenge the death of Dumbledore, but this leads Harry to discover that Snape is the half-blooded
prince.
