As part of my Master of Teaching program from UT/OISE, we had to complete

a MRP (major research paper) over the course of 2 years. This experience
has allowed me to train simultaneously as both a teacher as well as an
academic researcher.
Title of my MRP: Demystifying Math Anxiety
Presented: April 9, 2015 at the Master of Teaching Research Conference,
UT/OISE
My research is on exploring the effects of math anxiety on the teaching
learning process. Declining EQAO scores has been a major concern across
the province as of recent times and I wanted to speak with in-field educators
on their perceptions of math anxiety on themselves, on their students as
well as on the teaching-learning process as a whole.
I interviewed two teachers, one from the TDSB and one from the YRDSB,
both having taught for over 10 years, about their perceptions and
experience with math anxiety.
